As an art educator, I believe technology is not only a powerful tool for enhancing creative expression, but also a vital bridge connecting traditional techniques with the digital world students already navigate daily. Integrating technology into the art classroom opens up new pathways for experimentation, accessibility, and engagement, allowing students to explore graphic design, animation, digital illustration, and video production. It prepares them for creative fields that demand fluency in both analog and digital tools, while also supporting diverse learning styles and collaboration.
I strive to create a balanced environment where technology enhances, not replaces, hands-on studio work. My approach includes introducing students to professional design software, multimedia storytelling platforms, and digital critique spaces, all while encouraging critical thinking about the role of technology in art and society. Ultimately, I want students to see digital media not as a separate form of art-making, but as an extension of their creative voice.
